GA COMPASS

  • Allows a resident of the state of Georgia to apply for public assistance benefits in the state
  • Operated by the state Georgia Department of Human Services
  • Made and designed for poor people who need help with basic living needs
  • Dial 1-877-423-4746 for help with any of the online services offered on the site

GA COMPASS Medicaid is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service.  In order to apply for benefits a user must create a profile on the site.  Please note that the COMPASS GA website portal works best with Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher.

  • View information about USER benefits, renew benefits, or report a change to the household or employment

Applying for benefits and checking on eligibility are the two most common uses of the COMPASS online service.  It is recommended that users first check on eligibility before going through the application process.  The eligibility check will take about 15 minutes to complete and will ask about home information, income, housing costs and a few other bills.  All information provided to GA COMPASS will be stay private and secure and will only be used for benefit information.

Please note that when applying for any of the above benefits the user will NOT be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, sex and in some cases religion and political beliefs.  If a user feels like their right have been violated please contact the Director, Office of Adjudication by fax at (202) 690-7442 or email at program.intake@usda.gov.

COMPASS Medical Coverage

It is recommended that a user contacts the Federal Marketplace at www.healthcare.gov for possible medical coverage if they are:

  1. Age 19-64
  2. Have no children under 19 living with you
  3. Are not pregnant
  4. Are not blind
  5. Are not disabled (including Katie Beckett children)
