Giancarlo Stanton Traded To The Cardinals; Taveras Called Up
Giancarlo Staton is gonna look good in Redbird Red. The Cardinals are shipping Allen Craig, Lance Lynn and Peter Bourjos to the Marlina in exchange for the Panorama City, CA native, Giancarlo “BIG MONEY” Stanton. The deal comes just in time as the Cardinals offense has been struggling to score runs all season. In addition to the trade the Cardinals have also called up the Young Phenom Oscar Taveras from their Triple A affiliate the Memphis Redbirds.
The St. Louis Cardinals outfield will now looks like this:
- Left Field Matt Holiday
- Center Oscar Taveras
- Right Field Giancarlo Stanton
This spells diaster for the National Legaue and makes the Cardinals all but a shoe for a World Series return.
With the addition of Stanton and Taveras the everyday batting lineup should look like this:
