Why The United States Should Absorb Mexico
Can you imagine what life would be like if Mexico were a part of the United States? Many people have never thought about making this change, but it’s actually a pretty good idea.
Of course, Mexico is way too big to be considered one state. Instead, Mexico could be integrated into the United States as four separate states: North Mexico, Lower Mexico, Central Mexico and Gran Yucatan. Baja California could become a part of the state of California. If you still aren’t sold on the idea just yet, you should consider all of the benefits that both the American and Mexican citizens could enjoy from this major change.
Solve the Border Problem
Obviously, the whole border issue isn’t going to be solved any time soon. Instead of just trying to make border issues better, we can put a stop to them altogether by integrating Mexico into the United States. We wouldn’t have to worry about people crossing from Mexico into the United States illegally because, well, there wouldn’t be a border between the two anymore.
People have been complaining about illegal immigrants for years. They complain about them taking advantage of government benefits, failing to pay taxes and so much more. Whether or not this is true now is up for debate, but the point is that we wouldn’t have to worry about these things anymore if Mexico were to become a part of the United States. Mexican citizens could become American citizens and take advantage of all that we have to offer while paying taxes and helping us out simultaneously. It could be a win-win for everyone involved.
Enjoy More Tax Dollars
The various states here in the U.S. pay taxes, and these taxes are used to build roads, handle government projects and cover pretty much everything under the sun. If Mexico were turned into four separate states, there would be four more states paying taxes into the government. This could help lessen financial debts and burdens in the United States and can provide us with more money to do great things for all of our citizens.
Put an End to Drug Cartels
It’s no secret that the gangs and drug cartels in Mexico are dangerous. The government itself is having a very hard time keeping these things under control, and people are getting hurt and killed every day. Drugs are being transported across the border in many ways, and drugs are an issue in both Mexico and the United States. By putting a stop to the drug cartels in Mexico and annexing the country into our own, we could help drastically reduce the gang and cartel-related violence and the number of drugs that are consumed by North American citizens.
Make Life Better for Mexican Citizens
There’s a reason why Mexican citizens immigrate to the United States; it’s because they can typically find a better life here. The laws are different, there are more jobs, there are more opportunities, and there are many other great reasons why Mexican citizens typically find that their lives improve here in the United States. As a country, we seem to be worried about people in other countries, but why not help those who are closer to home by inviting them into our home? It would be a great way to offer the laws, freedom, independence and so much more that we have to offer our own citizens.
Become a Stronger Country
They say that power comes along with size and numbers. If this is true, then our country could become even stronger if Mexico were to become a part of it. There would be way more citizens and a much larger country, and we could fight against anything that comes our way. It would be wonderful for us to all work together for the common good of our newly larger country.
As you can see, there are quite a few reasons why the United States should consider adding Mexico to our country. Both American and Mexican citizens have a lot to gain from this addition, and we should all consider talking to our lawmakers about this interesting yet fully beneficial proposition. Eventually, a push for this positive change could result in a life-changing collaboration.
